Embracing the Seasons of Life

Humans are nature in motion.

We forget this, but our lives unfold the same way the earth does: in seasons.

Healing is no exception.

Sometimes it feels like a quiet dance — two steps forward, one step inward. A rhythm that cannot be rushed, only felt. Healing does not move in straight lines; it moves in cycles, much like the tide, much like breath.

Winter is introspective. Just as nature sleeps, we turn inward. This season is not lesser or stagnant — it is essential. In winter, nature rests to restore itself, gathering strength beneath the surface.

Then spring arrives gently. After a period of contemplation and self-reflection, we begin planting seeds of awareness… new ways of being. These seeds are subtle at first, almost invisible, yet they carry the promise of future growth.

Summer follows — everything in full bloom. The season of expansion. Of embodied joy. We savor the sweetness of our becoming and enjoy the fruits of our inner work, often forgetting that this abundance could not exist without the silence of winter or the intention of spring.

And then, inevitably, comes fall. We begin to shed what no longer serves us. Like trees releasing their leaves, we let go of identities, habits, stories and attachments that cannot travel with us into the next chapter. This shedding often carries nostalgia, even grief — a gentle mourning of who we once were. This too is healing.

And so we return to winter once more.

Not a regression but recalibration. A return to stillness. A sacred pause where we take inventory of our lives. Allowing to cleanse what moves forward with us, and what must remain behind.

This cycle repeats. That is why old patterns and wounds sometimes resurface. Not to punish us, but to be fully seen, softened, and finally dissolved. Some call this a testing period. In truth, it is an invitation — to meet ourselves with compassion and grace.

Every season is vital to the soul’s journey. No amount of forcing can accelerate the process or skip a phase. Just as a butterfly must embrace the cocoon before it can take flight — interference too soon would prevent its survival.

So be gentle with yourself.

Healing is a journey, not something to conquer — it is something to allow. A return to rhythm. To breath. To presence. To the quiet intelligence of the body. Allow yourself to embrace each season and flow with life as it unfolds. No resistance. No rushing. No forcing. Only presence. A space to remember that you are nature —

and you are exactly where you need to be.

Savor the moments of bliss and expansion. Stay present through the moments of stillness and dullness.

Honor it all — for every season is shaping the beautiful butterfly that you are becoming.

Yours in embracing our season.
